British Prince Harry and his wife Meghan will never work for the royal family again, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth decided this after a number of conversations with the prince.
The tasks of the couple are divided among the other members of the family. Harry also gives up his military honorary titles.
“While everyone is saddened by their decision, the Duke and Duchess remain beloved members of the family,” the statement said.
Harry and Meghan already announced last year that they were distancing themselves from the British royal family. They focus on new things, such as establishing a charity, and want to better divide their time between the UK and the US, where Meghan is from.
